New Parts
April 9, 2011 | My Jottings
This is what we’ll be occupying ourselves with these next few weeks:
His surgery is on Tuesday morning….we would be so grateful for your prayers for Michael!
**UPDATE** — Michael is home from the Mayo Clinic and resting well and hopefully healing quickly. Due to the level of deterioration of his rotator cuff muscles, the surgeon decided to do a “reverse shoulder replacement” rather than the planned “anatomic” one. The shoulder parts Michael now has are pictured below – you can compare them with the ones above.
God bless you all,
Dear Julie,
You and Michael will be in our prayers on Tuesday
Thank you so much Judy! I hope to see you all soon….
Praying that all go well and his healing will be quick and complete.
Thank you so very much for your prayers, Seeking. Welcome…and God bless you…
Hello Julie, i will be sending up the word – for you, Michael and the surgeons for a successful operation and fast healing. I’ll be thinking of you!! Take care of yourselves!
praying…
Is this the same shoulder that Michael had the rotator cuff surgery? I feel bad cause I did not know Michael had been having problems with the shoulder. Please know that I will be praying and asking God for curing Michael from head to toe. Love you both so much.
Thank you Helen, Kay and Dorothy. Yes, Michael had rotator cuff repair on both shoulders years ago. This surgery is an actual shoulder replacement. God bless you all…
I have been busy having a meltdown. Now I am over it will pray for good healing, a fast recovery & lots of patience for everyone. ?
Only you can make me laugh after I read the words, “I have been busy having a meltdown,” Ganeida. Maybe I should be so nonchalant about my next meltdown. You are my meltdown mentor. God bless you and yours…
What a privilege, truly, to resurface from a hole and be invited to pray. How praying for Michael, for yourself, shall turn my spirit toward Christ Himself. Remember, the same power that raised our Lord from the dead is accessible to you! And praise for the amazing minds and skilled hands that make a shoulder replacement possible.
Okay, what does it mean to have your shoulder reversed? Can Michael pick up things behind his back more easily? If a woman has this done, is she able to zip her own dresses? I hope humor is okay, now that the surgery is over. How is the recovery going? Julie, you are an amazing woman.
Hahaha Lorna! I think having one’s shoulder reversed means you can shake hands with the person in front of you while shaking hands with the person in back. Very handy if you’re trying to make friends while climbing Mt. Everest. Yes, humor is always good – so needed these days, don’t you think? You are pretty amazing yourself, Lorna…
